Winter in Estonia – a day out at a Husky Park

During winter time, Prangli Travel offers several winter tours in Estonia including ice-skating on forest lakes, cross country skiing, visiting the frozen Jägala waterfall and much more. However, today we’ll have a closer look at the Husky Park tour with dog sledding. Warning! If you’re not ready for some drop dead adorable pictures and a cuteness overload, do not read onward!

Husky Park tour begins in Tallinn

Our tour guide picks you up from your hotel and takes you to the Husky Park. The drive usually takes around an hour. On the way you’ll see some beautiful Estonian nature, countryside, fields and forest. The friendly family in the Husky Park then greets us and introduces the huskies, their life, their characteristics and specialties. There are about 20 huskies who are all eager to meet you.

You need to know something about those adorable dogs. They can kill you because they can lick you to death, and there is nothing you can do about it. Huskies just want to cuddle with you. The lovely huskies are basically therapy dogs because they provide affection, love, cuddles and comfort. See for yourself:

Dog sledding or canine cross-country hike

When the huskies are harnessed we will enjoy a sled ride in the picturesque wintry countryside of Estonia.

However, sometimes it can happen that we do not have enough snow for the dog sledding. The weather in Estonia can be a bit unpredictable. Have no worries, you can still enjoy the company of the huskies but instead of the sled ride we will go on a canine cross-country hike with them. This way you get an even more personal connection with your husky. The hike is just a couple of kilometers, so it’s doable for everyone.

Have a bite to eat!

After a refreshing time outside we will have a rest indoors and enjoy some light snacks, a bit of cake and tea. We’ll have some good chats and you have a chance to ask from your tour guide everything more you want to know about Estonia(ns), huskies, winter in Estonia, weather, politics, economy, local lifestyle, tips and things to do in Tallinn. You name it.

Enjoy a light meal in the Husky Park

After this cosy time, we head back to Tallinn where we drop you off at your hotel (or another place agreed). The whole tour takes around 4-5 hours, so you have plenty of time to enjoy Tallinn Old Town later on.

See you on the tour!
