Jägala Waterfall and Bog Walk from Tallinn

  • Escape busy Tallinn in the morning and head to the peaceful Estonian countryside.
  • Take a half-day trip to Jägala Waterfall, just a 30-minute drive from the city.
  • Enjoy an Estonian bog – a wetland rich in unique flora and fauna.
  • Hike around the bog pools and admire the wildlife.
  • Get to visit the widest natural waterfall in Estonia and the most iconic nature in one go.

Start your day with a 30-minute drive from Tallinn to Jägala Waterfall – the largest natural waterfall in Estonia. Feel the refreshing spray of water as it cascades over the limestone cliff, and capture stunning photos of this iconic site. If it’s cold enough, in winter, the waterfall transforms into a frozen wonderland of sparkling ice formations.

Afterwards, head deeper into nature for a peaceful bog walk. Follow the wooden boardwalk through Estonia’s most characteristic landscape – a quiet, untouched wetland filled with moss, small lakes, and pine trees. With every step, experience the unique soundscape and pure air of the bog.

This tour is perfect for those who love photography, nature, and peaceful outdoor experiences close to Tallinn.

Optionally add bog shoes for a fun off-track experience in the bog that lets you explore beyond the trail, especially in wetter seasons.
