Lantern hike

An evening hike through the snowy forest by lantern light feels like stepping into an enchanted woodland. In the soft glow, each tree becomes a sculpture, adorned by the twinkling stars above. We listen to the silence, our own breath, and the gentle crunch of snow beneath our feet.

Snow-shoe hike

Snowshoes in winter are like magic boots, taking you to places that are hard to reach in other seasons. This way of moving gives you the freedom to carve your own path through the forest, across bogs, and over frozen lakes and rivers. Any kind of active movement helps keep us warm, making winter temperatures far less intimidating.

During this tour you can enjoy snow-shoe hiking tour in the bog, in the most authentic Estonian nature, admire the wildlife and listen to mysterious stories and legends.

Also available as day trip!

Cani-cross hike with sled-dogs

Imagine being led into the forest by dogs that have supposedly existed for 4,000 years—dogs that were essential to the survival of nomads, helping them find food and protecting them from bears. A walk with Alaskan Malamutes in the Natura 2000 protected forest feels like stepping back to a time before civilization, where nature was the only guide.

During this tour you will learn about life on the dog farm and meet and play with the dogs. Before the hike, each participant gets their own dog who will be attached to their waist by a harness. The dog will help you by pulling you slightly, so you can enjoy the hike in the Estonian countryside.

Also available as day trip!

Ice skating

Ice skating originated in the Nordic countries as a way to cross frozen landscapes. Today, it offers an extraordinary, thrilling experience—especially when conditions allow for mirror-smooth ice that sings and cracks in tune with the weather. In Estonia, you have the rare opportunity to skate on bog ponds, lakes, and sometimes even rivers. Around Uuejärve Farm, there are over 10 bogs and more than 50 bog lakes, creating exceptional opportunities for unique ice skating adventures.

Cross-country skiing lessons with equipment and instruction or on your own

Skiing is a traditional way of moving on snow or smooth surfaces. The oldest evidence of skiing is found in ancient rock carvings and cave paintings, with the oldest known ski originating from Sweden—a wide, short design. Today, we use skis for winter trekking across snowy fields, forests, bogs, and lakes, as well as for sports on specially designed trails. In the Kõrvemaa region, cross-country skiing is pure fun, as the hilly terrain takes you up and down like a mini roller coaster. Cross-country skiing is also Estonia’s national sport—a must-try experience here.

Kick sledding tour with equipment or on your own

The kick sled has been a key mode of winter transportation since the 17th century in Sweden, Finland, and Estonia. Today, the traditional sled has been redesigned for comfort and ease, perfect for enjoying the outdoors and winter trails. Our kick sleds are equipped with seats, allowing you to bring children along or enjoy a picnic in nature. Ski-style runners make for smooth travel along snowy paths, ensuring comfort and ease. One thing’s for sure—on a kick sled, you’ll stay warm! Plus, it’s an activity that anyone, regardless of age, can enjoy.
