Wild Swimming Estonia – Four Waters Experience Daytrip

Wild Swimming Estonia is a guided day trip that explores four natural swimming spots just outside Tallinn. From waterfall rivers to bog pools, the Baltic Sea, and a clear forest lake, this experience connects you with Estonia’s water landscapes at a relaxed pace.

Highlights of the Tour

  • Visit Jägala Waterfall, Estonia’s most powerful natural waterfall
  • Walk barefoot in the shallow river below the falls
  • Experience bathing in a peaceful bog pool
  • Swim in the Baltic Sea along a sandy coastal beach
  • Refresh yourself in a clear forest lake

Wild Swimming in Estonia offers a full day immersed in water, silence, and natural landscapes. The experience is designed for those who enjoy nature without rush and who are curious about Estonia’s diverse ecosystems.

After leaving Tallinn, the route leads through forests, wetlands, and coastal scenery. At Jägala Waterfall, you can feel the strength of flowing water and walk barefoot in the shallow riverbed. Along the coast, the Baltic Sea provides a completely different swimming atmosphere — open, spacious, and refreshing.

In the bog landscape, the tea-coloured water feels soft and buoyant, creating a calm, floating experience surrounded by silence. The day concludes at a clear forest lake, offering a different texture and temperature of water once again. For private tours, a traditional wood-heated sauna can be added to complete the experience.

The tour is suitable in different seasons, as Estonia’s water landscapes change throughout the year — from warm summer swims to cooler, invigorating dips in spring and autumn.

PRICE INCLUDES: round-trip transportation from Tallinn, guide service

1

Departure from Tallinn and introduction to the day

After meeting in Tallinn, we drive into the Estonian countryside. The guide introduces the idea of wild swimming in Estonia and explains the four different water environments you will experience during the day.
2

Jägala Waterfall and river experience

Our first stop is Jägala Waterfall, Estonia’s most powerful natural waterfall. Here you can feel the force of moving water and enjoy a barefoot walk in the shallow river below the falls. This stop offers the first contrast of temperature and texture in the “four waters” experience.
3

Baltic Sea coastal swim

Next, we head to the coast where the Baltic Sea provides a completely different atmosphere. The sandy beach and open horizon create a spacious setting for swimming or simply enjoying the sea air.
4

Bog pool floating experience

In a protected wetland area, you experience bathing in a soft, tea-coloured bog pool. The water is naturally filtered through peat, creating a unique sensation of floating in silence surrounded by open landscape.
5

Forest lake swim and relaxation

The day concludes at a clear forest lake – Viitna lake. This final swim offers yet another water texture and temperature, completing the full “four waters” experience.
