With no special skills required, it’s ideal for beginners, families with teenagers, and anyone wanting to explore the outdoors safely and comfortably. After enjoying the forest and bog-walk on snow-shoes, we head to the frozen Jägala Waterfall, where icicles and icy blue colours create a spectacular winter scene. This nature tour combines our two tours: snow-shoe tour and picnic by the Frozen Jägala Waterfall. 2. Even before you see a waterfall, you usually sense it. The air becomes fresher, cooler, and slightly damp. Soon, you hear the distant sound of rushing water. Then, suddenly, the view opens up — powerful, continuous, and impossible to ignore. It’s no surprise that waterfalls are among the most popular natural sights travellers look for around the world. Although Estonia is a relatively flat country, northern Estonia is shaped by a massive limestone escarpment known as the Baltic Klint. Stretching from Russia along the northern coast of Estonia and reaching parts of Sweden, this limestone cliff creates natural drops where rivers flow into the Baltic Sea. These drops form waterfalls — many of them surprisingly impressive for such a flat landscape. Here are seven wonderful waterfalls near Tallinn that are worth visiting. Some are easy to reach, while others reward those who take a little more time. Estonian waterfalls are beautiful in every season, but winter is especially magical, when flowing water freezes into dramatic ice walls and long icicles. They are definitely worth passing by when you are on your way to do other winter activities. 1. Jägala Waterfall Jägala waterfall is often considered a must-see natural sight near Tallinn. Located just 30 minutes from the city, it is the highest natural waterfall in Estonia and a popular stop on the way to Lahemaa National Park. The waterfall is easily accessible, with viewpoints from above the limestone cliff and paths leading right in front of the falling water. In winter, Jägala becomes especially striking as it partially or fully freezes, forming a massive ice curtain. We have several tours you can join to visit the waterfall. If you want to see Jägala in the wintertime in its full glory, check out the Frozen Jägala Waterfall Picnic Tour for a

Tallinn is a coastal capital that is stretched out on 46 kilometres (29 miles) of coastline. That means plenty of opportunities for a beautiful shore excursion to see Tallinn coast, beaches and views. Here is a selection of 8 tours and experiences to choose from for taking the most out of the seaside when visiting the city. 1. Pirita promenade and the classic "fish can view" The most classic seaside views in Tallinn could be enjoyed from the promenade connecting the central town with Pirita suburb. It is perfect for a walk, jog or a drive by the sea to enjoy the typical Tallinn's "fish can view". This name refers to the classical design of canned fish sold in Estonia. Historically, Estonia was one of the first places to start exporting fish in cans, typically to Russia, and to make sure everyone knew that the fish came from Tallinn, the cans were decorated with a silhouette of Tallinn - exactly like the one you can see from the promenade in Pirita. Hence the name. Pirita also has one of the most popular beaches in Tallinn and a yacht club built for the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games. Nearby are Kadriorg district with its beautiful Baroque palace and gardens, Tallinn Song Festival Grounds and Tallinn TV Tower. To cover all the main sights in Tallinn, check out the Tallinn Classic Tour or go a bit further along the coast to Viimsi suburb on this Tallinn Top Attractions Tour. 2. Island getaway - Prangli Island If you are looking for a bit more off-the-beaten-path shore excursion, take a ferry from one of the suburbs of Tallinn, enjoy the one hour cruise across Tallinn Bay and find yourself in the idyll of a small island life in Prangli. Find the old
