Tour to Huskypark and Dog-Sled ride

Depending on the snow-conditions we will visit a huskypark in Raplamaa or Kõrvemaa. Both an hour’s drive from Tallinn, these are the best places to get in touch with Estonia’s winter beauty and are areas full of forests, marshes and small villages. On our way we will introduce you the history, nature and attractions of the area. In the huskypark we will introduce you the life on the farm, take a sled-ride with huskies and offer local food in a huskyhut.

Depending on the snow-conditions we will visit either a sled-dog farm in Raplamaa or one in Kõrvemaa. It takes about an hour to drive to either place and on our way we do our best to introduce you the area. When driving to Kõrvemaa we also offer you an opportunity to drop by the biggest natural waterfall in Estonia at Jägala.
2

Learn more about sled-dogs

On arrival, we will introduce you to the sled-dogs and their home first. We will then give an introduction about the breeds used, their history, character and field of application.
Huskies are friendly, childish and playful. Guests can pet and hug them and take pictures.
3

Enjoy dog-sledding

Harnessing the dogs takes a little bit of time and then the fun starts. The sled-riding distance can differ depending on weather conditions and which place we visit, but it’s definitely a lot of fun! For your own comfort strongly recommendation to wear warm clothes (including winter-boots, a scarf, gloves and a hat).

Warm yourself up with refreshments

To warm you up we also offer hot tea and pies.

Husky tour- breathtaking
Our day tour to the husky farm was magical- snow, pets everywhere (huskies, malamutes, horses, cat; all of which the kids loved), a detailed tour of the dogs, a short but breathtaking trip on the dog sled- silence except for the breath of the dogs and crunch of the snow, all followed by homemade sweets and fruit tea in the traditional and warm hut.
Annika and Pep were lovely, informative guides who spoke excellent English. Helle and her husband at the husky farm were friendly and generous.

Sledge-ride with Huskies
I enjoyed the Dog Sled ride in Raplamaa very much. The explanations during the tour were very interesting. I was surprised how full of energy the dogs were. This was a very special experience and I definitely recommend it.

Sledge-ride with Huskies
We made a daytrip and the Highlight was a sledgeride with Huskies. It was absolutely nice and the dogs pulled our sledge really fast. The landscape with all the snow was also very nice. All you need to know is that these dogs are sprinters, that’s why the ride itself is rather short. Nevertheless you learn a lot about sledge rides with dogs. We also enjoyed traditional estonian food at the Husky Farm. The guide was very informative.
Thank you for the unique experience.
