Visiting the spectacular Jägala Waterfall in every season is a truly amazing natural experience. It is one of the 7 wonderful waterfalls near Tallinn. This tour also covers the surrounding area, which is choc-full of history, legends and natural attractions. It includes the Saha Chapel, the oldest medieval chapel in Estonia, and Rebala, site of the country’s oldest agricultural settlement. On the way out of Tallinn, we pass through the Lasnamäe district, the city’s largest Soviet-era residential area. The tour also introduces the use of one of Estonia’s most abundant natural resources – limestone – which we’ll see in 3,000-year-old, Bronze Age grave markers, the chapel, the waterfall and even in Soviet-built structures. Lunch is organised in a seaside restaurant Veer or Oko, where you can try delicious local food.

Paul was our guide, and he was very friendly & talked a t about Estonian History on our way to the must see things. Due early the season,the museum & restaurant was not open but Paul did a great job finding something else & showus more of the country. Happy feelings after the trip.

The trip offers you the opportunity to admire the beauty of Estonia outside of Tallinn. The guide Marit is a pleasant person who tells many interesting facts about the history and daily life in Estonia. She did an excellent job.
Excellent tour with delightful guide
This tour was absolutely fantastic. Liina was a delight! She was very friendly, well-versed in the different sites on the tour, and willing to answer various questions. The tour was well-paced, and it was nice to see various fascinating points outside of the city. Communication with the travel company beforehand was good. Having such a small, intimate tour was definitely worth it.
We had a fabulous day with Liina, as it was a ‘private tour’, using her own car, which was much appreciated. She was very attentive throughout and looked after us for the whole day, particularly helping us to negotiate the very uneven ground at the waterfall, enabling us to go down to the bottom of the falls and not just view it from the top. We also enjoyed the lunch and the conversation with Liina at the restaurant very much, where the food was excellent. We would like to thank Prangli Travel and Liina in particular.

Excellent visit to very peaceful natural environment with excellent guide Helen of Prangli travel. We have already visited Waterfall on the way to Lahema National park, so Helen took il8s to Muuksi, and then to the Jägala River suspension bridge. All the way we’re forests, farms, peace and nature.
Not often advertised, but this gives us an idea of Estonian rural life, and why the people have high human development index despite modest GDP.
We were the only three on the trip. We drove a passenger car around to the stops. Our guide was incredibly sweet and accommodating. Very personal tour, since we were the only ones there. We had plenty of time for pictures, questions and dialogues.
Excellent tour of the countryside!
We booked this tour as we wanted to see a bit of the countryside of the area we stayed in. Having spent a few days touring Tallinn’s old town, it was nice to see some green! Our tour guide, Liina, was awesome, very friendly and chatty and took us to some lovely scenic places and let us spend as much time as we wanted viewing them. She also took us to a brilliant restaurant, Ruhe, in Neeme and we enjoyed it so much we bought her lunch! We had an amazing day, the weather was perfect and Liina was more than happy to take photos for us for which we were grateful. I highly recommend this tour!
A delightful break from the city and the crowds

Our guide was awesome, very informative. The waterfalls in winter are very recommended. If you are happy to be in Estonia with snow and the cold, the tour is absolutely worth to go.

Interesting trip with excellent guide
On a week-long business trip to Tallinn so decided to visit the countryside on our day-off. Prangli offered a day trip east to a ruined chapel (the first in Estonia), then to Karst (a very unusual geological feature in a field!), then to the Iron Age burial ruins at Kebala, and then onto the longest waterfall in Estonia at Jagala Juga. This was brilliant as the waterfall was frozen! The last sightseeing stop was the Linnamae hydroelectric scheme, reached after a lovely walk through the pine forest, and then a late lunch at Ruhe fish restaurant in Neeme – right on the beach (although the sea was starting to freeze – it was minus 15 with wind chill factored in). There were only four of us on the trip, 2 Brits ans 2 Spaniards – who spoke very little English. Not a problem for the guide, who was fluent in both languages and looked after us perfectly! Well worth the money.
