Fishing Tour to Forest Lakes from Tallinn

Get out of Tallinn to a beautiful forested area;
Enjoy the fishing tour on the shores of Paunküla lake – a popular fishing spot among the locals;
Learn from your fishing instructor catch and release fishing;
Catch some fish with hand fishing rod, if you are lucky;
Take breaks from fishing and walk around in beautiful nature.

Fishing is widely popular in Estonia as you can often spot fishermen on the shores of the lakes and rivers. Join our fishing tour and local fishing instructor for a morning outside of Tallinn for a calming fishing experience. Your guide meets you at your hotel and you will go to Paunküla lakes, about an hour drive from Tallinn. Spend two hours either learning a new skill or improving your existing fishing proficiency. Paunküla lakes are in a beautiful forested area – something you should experience while visiting Estonia.

Tip: It is good to wear waterproof shoes and dress according to the weather.

Pick up from Tallinn at 8 AM

Fish should be caught in the morning, so get an early start during your stay in Tallinn and meet your guide at your hotel or accommodation.

Get outside of Tallinn

Drive out of town to a beautiful Paunküla area, less than an hour away. You can see that once you get outside of Tallinn, you can spot only few houses and you are surrounded by mostly forested area. That is why locals say that you have not seen Estonia if you have not been outside of Tallinn.

Catch fish

Find a nice spot next to the lake and set up your equipment. Your fishing instructor will help you to get started. Use the handheld rod and see if you can catch some carp fish – very common fish in Estonia. Enjoy the fishing tour and sitting still for a while in contrary to a normal rushing from one place to another that is common for holidays. If you lose your patience, walk around a little and admire the forest and the lake.

Get dropped off at your accommodation

After two hours at the lakes, it is time to pack your equipment and head back to Tallinn. Now that you had some time in a quiet nature, you are ready for another day of exploring around the city.

For extra charge, visit the Viking Village and have fun doing activities like canoeing, crossbow shooting etc;
Hike and have an adventure in Kämbla old growth forest;
